How To Transfer Airtime From Any Network To Another Network

This service has been available for quite sometime now but only a few knows about it. This service will come in handy for those who don't have all the major networks in Nigeria.

Now, you can actually transfer airtime from MTN to 9mobile, Airtel to Glo, Glo to MTN, Airtel to 9mobile and vice versa, all at a small service fee of N50 Naira.

MTN, Share ’N’ Sell
MTN Share ’N’ Sell comes with a pin feature. Before you can transfer credit, you have to change the default pin which is 0000.

  • To change your default PIN,
  • Send a text message with default PIN +New PIN +New PIN to 777.

For example, to change the default PIN, SMS ‘0000 1234 1234’ to 777.

  • MTN Share ’N’ Sell allows you to transfer a minimum amount of NGN 50.00 to a maximum of NGN5, 000.00 on each transaction.
  • You can also transfer up to a total amount of NGN10,000.00 every day!

Glo EasyShare
To transfer airtime on Glo network; Activate the service by creating your Glo EasyShare PIN.

  • To change/create your Glo EasyShare 5-digit PIN:
  • Dial *132*00000*New Pin*New Pin# For example if you want your new pin to be 12345 dial *132*00000*12345*12345#
  • To Transfer Credit, dial *131*Phone Number of the recipient*Amount*Password#
  • For example to Transfer N50 to 08055555555 and your pin is 12345 dial *131*08055555555*50*12345#.

You will receive a text message once the transfer is completed. Default password is 00000.

Airtel Me2U
To transfer airtime on Airtel Nigeria’s “Me2U”, create a 4-DIGIT-PIN.

  • To change/create your airtime transfer PIN on Airtel
  • Send a text in the following format to 432: PIN 5555 to 432 E.g. to change password to 4321, the text sent will read — PIN 1234 432 .
  • You will then receive an SMS confirmation from 432.
  • SMS charge of N10 per transaction applies.
  • To transfer airtime: Send, 2u [Phone Number] [Amount] [PIN] to 432
  • E.g, to transfer N50 worth of airtime, text: 2u 08021234567 50 1234 to 432. You and the recipient will receive an SMS confirmation.

Etisalat Airtime Transfer

  • You activate the service by setting up your transfer pin.
  • The default 4-digit PIN is 0000.
  • To change your airtime transfer PIN on Etisalat Dial: *247*0000* NEW PIN# For example, to change your PIN to 1234; Dial *247*0000*1234#
  • To Transfer airtime on Etisalat Network
  • Dial *223*Password*Amount*Phone Number#
  • For example to transfer N200 to 0809000009, Dial *223*1122*200*0809000009#

How To Transfer Airtime From Any Network To Another Network

It's very simple and much straightforward. All you need to do is follow the steps outlined below.

Simply dial *931# on the sim that wants to do the transfer
Reply with 6 to change your default transfer PIN
After you have successfully changed your PIN, then reply with 3 for Airtime Swap

  • Enter the beneficiary's number (the receiver's number that is using another network)
  • Select the amount you want to transfer 
  • Finally, enter your PIN. 
  • The airtime will be transferred successfully. 
  • It will attract a service charge of 50 Naira.

How to transfer MTN airtime

Enjoy two different methods (real time-savers) when it comes to sharing credit from one MTN line with another.

Method 1: MTN airtime transfer code

  1. Send SMS message to 777 number. The message should include the word ‘Transfer’ and the phone number of the person who will receive your credit, the credit amount and your PIN code (the one you have changed).
  2. Let’s say you want to send 1,000 Naira to MTN phone 08035555555 and your PIN is 5894. Type in this message on your device: Transfer 08035555555 1000 5894
  3. Now just send it to number 777.

Once the text message is sent you will get a confirmation request from MTN network. The word ‘YES’ must be returned to the same number 777 to complete this operation.
How you can use Ecobank mobile transfer code

Method 2: Transfer by phone call

  1. Remember the figure *600* - call it once you add the additional information (the airtime recipient, credit, your PIN code).
  2. Once again, if you are planning to transfer 1,000 Naira to MTN phone 08035555555 and your PIN is 5894, you need to dial *600*08035555555*1000*5894#.
  3. You should get an SMS that tells you the transaction was successfully completed.

This is a great deal, anyone will love these simple MTN airtme transfer feature, however, the mobile operator will also charge additional fees the service’s user must be aware of. Each transaction costs some money:

  1. 50-100 Naira credit – 3 Naira transaction fee
  2. 101-500 Naira credit – 5 Naira transaction fee
